ALEX VAN ZANTI am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School. I hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, where I specialized in Organizational Behavior. My research uses insights and theory from social psychology to understand how people can project a more positive image to enhance their influence, as well as when their attempts at influence veer into unethical behavior that harms relationships. It has been published or accepted for publication in journals such as Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Psychological Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
